Because wool mittens are made of wool there is a chance that you might find yourself in an itchy situation with your wool mittens.  The fact of the matter is that some of us have very sensitive skin and although wool mittens will be sure to keep you warm you shouldnít wear something that is going to irritate your skin.  However, over the last few years there has been a change in the way that the wool manufactures handle and treat the wool and have made it a bit softer than the wool that you might be familiar with.  On top of that you can still get all the benefits of the wool mittens by looking for a wool blend.  Many people that have issues wearing wool can wear a wool blend with out any issues.

Wool mittens are no longer a thing of the past and their new styles and comfort can help to warm even the coldest of hands.  For added heat you can also add a simple pair of stretch gloves under them but since we are talking about wool its not likely that you will need to do that.  The wool mittens have come back on to the scene and they have done so in a wide variety of colors and patterns that will make the pickiest person happy!
